This Friday, May 18th, we’re taking part in #theSpringShare—a state-wide giving day supporting not only the Strategy Center but over 30 additional nonprofits working each day for a better Maine for all of us!

This day of giving back to the causes and organizations you care about in Maine was created by MaineShare, an organization that provides funding to over 30 groups statewide. We’re proud to be a longtime MaineShare participant, and excited to participate in the first annual SpringShare.

We’ve set a goal of raising $1,000 by May 30th—and you can help us get there!

Support our work for safe food and drinking water, toxic-free products, and good green jobs at our SpringShare fundraiser page. Better yet, click the “Fundraise” button on that page to create your own peer-to-peer fundraiser to support our work! Share your fundraiser on Facebook and Twitter, with the hashtag #theSpringShare.

You can also support the SpringShare at these in-person events:

  • Visit the Coffee on Design on Diamond Street in Portland between 7am and 9am on Friday for a SpringShare PowerHour—10 percent of all purchases go toward the SpringShare.
  • Bring a bag lunch to Congress Square Park in Portland from 12pm-2pm on Friday for the SpringShare Picnic, and talk with local nonprofits to learn about the work they do here in Maine.
  • In the SpringShare, a rising tide lifts all boats—so join us on the patio at Rising Tide Brewery on Saturday from 2pm-7-pm to celebrate the causes we care about in Maine!

Starting this year, and every May, the SpringShare will help us build a larger movement to celebrate and recognize the work of over 30 non profits in Maine. We hope you’ll join us!
